For clients with body composition goals, our focus is not on restriction or short-term dieting, but on creating an internal environment that supports lean muscle development, sustainable fat loss, and consistent energy availability.

June-Dec 2025 I was in the thralls of cyclic vomiting syndrome/GI migraines that forced me to address a long list of stressors. During that time, I stopped exercising, my nutrition was extremely chaotic (overfed + underfed), and I put on 8lbs of fat.
I had to figure out a new version of taking care of myself at this state of my life. I decided to hire my own coach - outside of triathlon - something I’d never done. I knew that if I was going to do something different, I wanted someone else to lead the way, hold me accountable, and help direct me when I suddenly wanted to do what I wanted to. After 20 years in the business of fitness and nutrition, I was excited to learn from someone else.
I also knew high intensity exercise was out - the nausea post workout would last for days, and I was so focused on not letting the vomiting cycles begin again.
Starting Jan 1, I went through a 16 week caloric deficit where I focused on: 4 strength training days per week, carb cycling, lower HR cardio, as well as optimized sleep, hydration, and recovery.
In this time, I really dialed in high quality nutrition, and adjusted my macros to find the right balance where I was in a caloric deficit but still able to put on muscle and gain reps/load each session in the gym.
The result - I lost the 8lbs of fat I had put on, and gained a crap ton of muscle. I have had zero vomiting spells since beginning this journey, and my daily nutrition and workout plan makes me feel energized instead of completely exhausted.
These last four months changed everything for me. FACT: coaches need coaches.

Do I need to track macros?
Not necessarily. Tracking macros is a great way to accurately understand intake, and can offer food freedom. Some clients benefit from an approach focusing on portion guidance, meal structure, and habits.
Is this a meal plan?
No. This is individualized coaching designed to help you build sustainable habits, incorporating foods you love — supporting your body long-term.
Can I still eat out/travel/live my life?
Absolutely. The goal is to build a realistic approach that works in real life — not perfection.
Is this only for weight loss?
No. Many clients have other main goals such as increased energy & performance, overall health & longevity, and recovery.
Do you work with athletes?
Yes — I work with athletes (of all ages and sports), recreational exercisers, and active women looking to support both performance and body composition.

Jillian has worked with my two teens who are active in sports (swimming and Ultimate Frisbee). She explains the connection between nutrition and sports performance. She was able to explain how the food choices they make has an impact on performance, she has empowered them to learn what works best for their particular sport.
Jillian worked closely with my teen who was diagnosed with PCOS to improve her overall metabolism. After a three month period, the labs showed a significant improvement. (Most recent A1C is back to normal range!)
I work in healthcare and Jillian has supported several patients to successfully achieve improved health outcomes by focusing on nutrition choices throughout the various stages of life including menopause.
Jillian is knowledgable and is able to explain nutrition concepts regardless of age. I continue to refer patients to her. I have seen excellent results and can vouch that her recommendations have long lasting benefits.

Working with Jillian has been one of the most meaningful and transformative experiences of my adult life. As a statistician, I can start with the numbers: in just ten weeks, I have lost almost seven pounds of fat, going from 27 percent body fat to 23 percent while maintaining my lean muscle mass. I have gone from lifting 10 to 15 pound dumbbells to confidently using 20s and 25s, and I sometimes reach for a 30. I have lost three to four inches off my waist.
But the numbers only tell part of the story.
For years, I was blindly chasing a single number on the scale, convinced that if I could just force that number down everything else would fall into place. What I did not understand was that the number I was chasing was not the one I truly needed. My total weight has shifted only about five pounds, yet my body composition has changed dramatically and my self thought has changed even more. I have more energy both physically and mentally, and I am genuinely happier and kinder in my daily life. I look different, I feel different, and I think differently about myself.
When I follow the plan Jillian created for me, I sleep through the night. I catch myself being kinder to my body, both in my choices and in my thoughts. My jeans are loose. People tell me I look strong and happy. And for the first time in a long time, I feel proud instead of hopeless.
Before I started with Jillian, I believed that in my late forties the answer was simply to work out more and eat less. Instead, I kept gaining weight. I had no idea I was overshooting protein and fat while drastically under fueling carbohydrates. I was not supporting my body or my mind.
This process has become a genuine practice in self care. We track so many metrics in life, but without the right goals, and without an expert like Jillian guiding the way, it can become self defeating. Jillian has been kind, encouraging, and steady. She has helped me navigate travel, stress, and real life. She believed in me until I could believe in myself again.
I had no idea how precious and rewarding wellness coaching could be. My only wish is that I had found Jillian sooner.

Since I started working with Jillian, I have lost over 10 lbs and transformed my relationship with food altogether. It has been so freeing to work with Jillian. Life altering, honestly.
Jillian helped me forgive myself for being a little heavy and developing pre-diabetes (despite lots of exercise). It turns out that it’s not my fault I was getting so hungry and had so many cravings all the time. I wasn’t eating near enough protein or healthy fats. I also wasn’t eating at the right times of day or in the right order.
And as a coach, Jillian is always available and each session is information-packed and customized to your specific situation. I highly recommend working with Jillian to anyone!

My body changed more in 2 months with Jillian than it had in the prior 6 months with GLP1s. And it’s a change that feels grounded, positive, healthy, customized to my lifestyle, and sustainable for the long term.
I felt like I’d tried everything without much success, and was so tired of putting in time and effort and money and still not feeling comfortable in my own skin. Now I feel better and stronger than I have since my days as a college athlete. If you’re trying to take control of your health but feeling stuck, call Jillian yesterday.
